Anime-Tales · anime-tales.com · updated September 30, 2026
Anime-Tales is an AI anime story app: you play a character, and AI writes the story around what you do. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account: a username, and a password (stored only as a salted hash) if you set one. No email is required to play.
- What you create: your stories, characters, story memories, phone messages inside stories, worlds you publish, chat messages and DMs.
- Credits: your balance, what you spend it on, and purchases. Card payments are handled by Stripe on the website; we never see or store card numbers.
- Technical: the device type and basic request logs, used for support, security and abuse prevention.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to write your story, keep your account and stories in sync across devices, bill credits, show what you publish to other players, prevent abuse and answer support requests. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- AI providers receive the text of a story turn (your move, the story's memory, the world and cast) to write the reply and to paint pictures and voices: Anthropic, Google, Meta (through OpenRouter), Featherless and Wiro. Every tier except Gold Community is private: those providers are asked not to keep or train on it.
- 🤝 Gold Community tier: story turns played on this tier are shared with Meta to improve their models (your character sheet, your messages, the story's memory, the world's premise and cast, and the AI's replies). That's why the tier is cheap. It is never used in NSFW stories or co-op rooms, and an explicit moment in an 18+ story is written on the Gold 18+ tier instead.
- Stripe processes payments on the website. DigitalOcean hosts the servers.
Never shared
Your password, payment details, messages to friends, and every story played on any tier other than Gold Community.
Age and mature content
Anime-Tales is for people 13 and older. The 18+ genre is only for adults who confirm their age, and every character in those worlds is an adult.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and its data at any time from 👤 Profile → 🗑 Delete my account; see how to delete your account. The purchase and spending ledger is kept for accounting and fraud prevention for up to 7 years.
Terms in short
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself.
- Credits are a digital good spent as you play. All sales are final; subscriptions renew until cancelled and can be cancelled any time from 💎 Credits on the website.
- What you write is yours. AI replies may be imperfect. Don't publish worlds using real people or characters you don't own; if something infringes your rights, tell us and it comes down.
